How We Remove Construction Dust, Paint Splatters and Adhesive Residue
Post-renovation surfaces carry several types of stubborn residue that standard household products cannot shift. Here is exactly what we tackle and how:
Microscopic alkaline particles settle on tiles, glass and fittings. We use a HEPA-filter vacuum to capture fine construction dust without recirculating it, followed by a pH-appropriate descaler to dissolve grout haze from tile faces.
Water-based or oil-based paint overspray on floors, skirting boards and window frames is softened with a targeted solvent and removed without scratching the surface underneath.
Sticker labels, protective film and masking tape leave stubborn glue on tiles, glass and marble. We apply a citrus-based degreaser to dissolve the adhesive cleanly — no scraping damage.
Excess silicone on bathroom tiles and kitchen counters is carefully removed using microfiber cloths and a specialist silicone remover — not razor blades that scratch surfaces.
When to Book: BTO Key Collection, Contractor Sign-Off or Renovation Completion
The ideal window is right after your contractor's final sign-off and before you move furniture or boxes in. Unrestricted access to every surface gives the most thorough result.
- BTO flat (TOP key collection): Book right after your handover inspection on key collection day. BTO units have fine construction dust from touch-up and defect rectification works throughout.
- After full renovation: Book after your contractor leaves and before movers arrive. A 1–2 day buffer is ideal but not required — we can start the same day the contractor finishes.
- Kitchen or bathroom renovation only: Book on completion day. Scope is typically limited to the wet areas plus dust tracked into the rest of the flat — team size and duration are adjusted accordingly.
- Contractor still on site? Book a date ahead while works complete. We arrive once the contractor is done and the flat is handed back to you.
- Furniture already moved in? We can still help. We work around existing furniture and target all accessible surfaces, fixtures and fittings.
BTO Cleaning vs Full Renovation vs Kitchen/Bathroom Only
The process is the same for all renovation types — specialist equipment and construction residue removal — but the scope and dust profile differ slightly.

|---|---|---|---|
| Typical residue | Fine cement, touch-up dust, tile grout | Cement, paint splatters, adhesive, silicone sealant | Grout residue, cement, silicone sealant smears |
| Scope | Whole flat | Whole unit or most rooms | Wet areas + dust tracked through flat |

What Is Post-Renovation Cleaning?
Any renovation — BTO handover cleaning, kitchen or bathroom remodelling, or a full-home renovation by a contractor — leaves fine cement dust, paint residue, grout particles and adhesive throughout the property. It settles inside kitchen cabinets, on fan blades, in window tracks and air vents. Standard cleaning cannot shift these construction-specific residues. Post-renovation cleaning uses specialist tools — HEPA-filter vacuums, pH-appropriate descalers, solvents and professional degreasers — to remove them completely in one session.
We clean after every type of renovation: BTO key collection, condo or landed renovation, kitchen or bathroom works. Had HDB's Home Improvement Programme (HIP) works? We have a dedicated HIP cleaning page with HIP-specific timing, coverage and FAQ.
HIP cleaning has its own timing requirements, HDB-specific coverage questions and FAQ. Visit our dedicated HIP cleaning page for guidance specific to older HDB blocks undergoing the government upgrading programme.

Post-renovation cleaning is priced by flat size — Studio/1-Room: $200. 2-Room: $250. 3-Room: $320. 4-Room: $390. 5-Room/EC: $450. Landed and condo: request for quote. What does post-renovation cleaning include?
Full cement dust removal with HEPA-filter vacuums, grout haze treatment on bathroom tiles, kitchen hood and hob degreasing, inside cabinet and drawer wipe-down, window track and frame cleaning, fan blade cleaning, floor scrubbing in all rooms, toilet bowl descaling, skirting board and door frame cleaning, balcony and service yard, mirrors and glass surfaces, and air vent exterior cleaning.
When should I book post-renovation cleaning after BTO key collection?
Book right after your TOP key collection — before you move any furniture or boxes in. BTO units have construction touch-up dust that settles throughout the flat. Cleaning before furniture arrives means every surface, cabinet interior and floor is accessible and thoroughly cleaned in one session.
What is the difference between post-renovation cleaning and deep cleaning?
Post-renovation cleaning targets construction-specific residues: cement dust, grout haze, paint splatters, adhesive residue and silicone sealant smears left by building works. It uses specialist tools — HEPA vacuums, descalers, solvents. Deep cleaning is for occupied homes with no construction work — it targets grease, soap scum, limescale and general grime built up over time. If you have just completed renovation or received BTO keys, book post-renovation cleaning first.
Can you clean right after the contractor leaves?
Yes — there is no benefit to waiting. Cement dust and construction residue do not improve with time. We bring all specialist equipment and can start the same day or next day after your contractor completes.
Do you clean windows, inside kitchen cabinets and air-con vents after renovation?
Yes. Windows (glass, frames and tracks), inside kitchen cabinets and drawers, and air-con vent exteriors are all included in our standard post-renovation clean. Construction dust settles in all these areas and we address them as part of every session.
How long does post-renovation cleaning take?
With our 2–4 person team: a 3-Room HDB takes approximately 4–5 hours, a 4-Room HDB 5–6 hours, and a 5-Room or EC 6–8 hours. A 3-bedroom condo typically takes 5–7 hours depending on renovation extent. You don't need to be home — we arrange access and send before/after photos via WhatsApp when done.
Is one post-renovation cleaning session enough?
In most cases yes. We guarantee our work — if you find any area we missed within 48 hours, we return to re-clean at no charge. Some heavily renovated units or properties where furniture has already moved in may benefit from a second light clean, but this is uncommon.
